Thanksgiving Milonga Fábrica and more updates…

This month our 4th Saturday milonga falls on Thanksgiving weekend! And so we’ve decided to host a special “Friendsgiving” Potluck and Milonga.

This month there will be NO CLASS. Instead we will gather around a communal table in the cozy Arlington Ballroom and share some yummy food and drinks. Join us at 7:30 PM - please bring a small dish or drink to share. We will provide finger foods and dessert. Once we wrap up dinner around 9 PM we will move the tables out of the way and the dancing will begin!

We had an absolultey wonderful time teaching at the Argentine Embassy. SUCH an honor and privilege to teach on Argentine turf! (so to speak). We will be offering a series of these traditional Argentine Tango introductory classes at the Embassy every Spring and Fall.. AND.. there will be some more queer tango pop-up events at the Embassy as well. Stay tuned to the Argentine Embassy Classes Page for updates and announcements.

We just had 12 weeks of back to back beginner classes in Annapolis and a new batch of tangueros has been born! (6 of whom have already bought real tango shoes!) We all know how delicate this stage is and how easy it is to become discouraged. Please welcome them and encourage them at the practica on Sundays! Beginners need all the encouragement they can get. We plan to hold a special milonga to celebrate the anniversary of Tango in Annapolis in the new year and we will invite the newborns to come to their first real tango milonga field trip.

REMINDER: NO PRACTICA (or classes) this Sunday 11/24. The following Sunday the Practica schedule resumes as normal: 3 PM - 5:30.
