Beginner tango classes in the heart of DC, at the beautiful chandelier lit ESL lounge in Shaw. These classes are focused on close embrace dancing, as tango is danced in the salons of Buenos Aires!
No prior experience or partner necessary.

A three week, intermediate level mini-series focused on the essential skills & building blocks required to comfortably lead and follow the two sister dances of Argentine Tango: energetic Milonga and flowy Vals.
Focused learning time includes 1 hour of instruction with your tango instructors (Aja+Carlos on July 15 and Aja+Masha on July 22 & July 29), followed by 30 minutes of guided practice time (working on class material only) with Sasha and Boris. Participants can then enjoy an optional free glass of wine or soft drink and stay until 10pm to socialize and dance!

In this dynamic series, you will continue to learn how to combine fundamental elements of tango—boleos, ganchos, sacadas, paradas, and more—into new and exciting sequences. Together, we will explore how these movements interact, flowing seamlessly to create unique combinations.
If tango is a language, think of this series as your creative writing class! Whether you're looking to refine your technique or break out of familiar patterns, this series will help you unlock new possibilities in your tango journey.
