This month we have a very special edition of Milonga Fábrica. Robin Thomas from NYC will be teaching the pre-milonga class, and DJing for us. You all know exactly what that means.. We are literally giddy with excitement to announce that Fábrica Tango has just launched a brand new line of tango shoes and clothing called “Cielo”. Cielo is a collection of stunning women’s and men’s tango attire conceptualized by professional dancers and exquisitely curated by choice tailors and masterful shoemakers in Istanbul. Cielo is beautifully constructed garb, but it is more than that, Cielo is a feeling, and we dance differently when we feel incredible. The Cielo collections are crafted in limited quantities and editions. We will be showcasing prototypes and offering some select pieces for sale at this month’s Milonga Fábrica…..(We got eaten alive to get you some of these sneak peak shots….)
Our beautiful, dear friends J Abling and Rachel Moon are leaving Annapolis to explore new opportunities and horizons. We wish them all our very best for this new chapter! Annapolis Tango was founded by Julie McCormick in 2016, shortly thereafter she was joined by J and Rachel who became owners and resident instructors. Together they have built a strong and warm community of dancers in DC’s neighboring town. We acknowledge J, Rachel and Julie for this amazing Feat! Fábrica Tango is honored to be taking over the classes and Practica on Sundays in Annapolis moving forward. Masha and Aja will have an overarching presence with the help of colleagues to provide continued support and inspiration to the tango community in Annapolis. Along with thriving and growing together, we hope to forge new connections with our DC based following. Updates regarding the Sunday program will be posted in the Annapolis Tango facebook group, along with the Fabrica Tango facebook page (please join/like these platforms if you have not done so already to stay in the loop). All of our classes and events in the DC-MD-VA will be posted on the Fábrica website under GROUP CLASSES and SOCIAL DANCE. Stay tuned to those pages for updates, including a brand new Beginner Series on Sundays in Annapolis with Aja Fenn and Alex Hartsell (October 10 - November 14)!
